Cool-Aid, also known as On The Road to a Different Perspective/ORTDP, is a non profit recycling facility that encourages people to adapt to diverting beneficial views of recycling. The program is specifically aimed at younger individuals.
Founded by Vicky Willis, a former elementary school teacher, Cool Aid was a lunch time club where some Vincent Massey students gathered twice a week, learning how to make shopping bags and lunch bags out of kool-aid pouches. Currently, the team consists of three more staff members who have dedicated satisfying attention to the progress of the program, after it was revived by a public high school individual who now runs Coo Aid.

Presently, the program is focused on building an effective and confidential base, by getting more individuals involved and adapted to the idea. With the help of Kim Shiau, the Environmental Head at Vincent Massey Public School, all is working smoothly for the good of the school community.
Expected, ORTDP will partner with a number of Public Elementary Schools in Ottawa, and shape a major club where recyclables of all sorts will be “re-purpose”.
"Knowing we have a hand in reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills comes with a rewarding feeling and experience that many lack".
Benefits of Cool-Aid include:
Doing good for the environment
Saving money
Saving energy
Giving kids an oportunity to make a change
